I am a recent graduate from Biola University’s Biblical and Theological Studies program and a perpetual member of the Torrey Honors Institute. As such, one can expect to read a fair amount of Theology on this blog as well as my thoughts of Philosophy, Literature and History. I also like to keep up with things, so a fair amount of cultural commentary may appear here as well. For now, this is my foray into the world of blogging, and we will see where the experiment takes us.

The name of this blog comes from the fact that I am learning to be a disciple, to walk in the dust of my Master, Jesus Christ, and to walk in the way of humility. I have been redeemed by Christ for the purpose of serving my King. Thus, I am a slave to Christ, and the image of a slave evokes barefootedness in my mind. Further, as a Wyoming Native, I love nature exquisitely and love to feel connected with it, so I am constantly barefoot. It reminds me of the greatness and beauty of the God I serve and helps to keep me humble.

This blog is meant to be a place for me to post my thoughts about life, to keep my writing skills sharp, to discipline myself to the task of continuing to learn and to write consistently, to learn to write publicly, and to share what I am learning. I hope that as people walk alongside me in this journey that they will learn and grow from me and that they will choose to interact with me so that I may learn from them and thereby grow myself.

Welcome to my journey of learning to walk on holy ground.
